Weigh the Waste

Did you know that food waste also means wasted energy, water, and natural resources? Each semester, we weigh food waste at Roadrunner Café to raise awareness for this growing issue.

Local Purchasing

Did you know Dining Services sources food from many local farmers, growers and distributors? The list changes throughout the year depending on seasonality and availability. However, here is a sampling of a few of our partners:

Recycling

Dining Services partners with campus to recycle paper, cardboard and plastic from all dining locations across campus. We are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint. Look for signs in our locations for information on where to put your recyclables.

Reusables

Purchase a dining $4.99 reusable mug in our convenience locations to get continuous $.99 refills on all fountain drinks! Ask a cashier for more details.


Reusable To-Go Container

Getting your meal to go from Roadrunner Café? Take part in our Reusable To-Go Container program. Here's how it works:

  1. Pay $7.50 to enroll in the Eco-To-Go Program (Cash, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Rowdy Dollars and Dining Dollars accepted).
  2. Receive a membership card to use as an exchange for an eco-to-go container.
  3. Turn in your dirty containers at the Roadrunner Café to receive your membership card for the next use.

Fryer Oil Recycling

One hundred percent of dining services used fryer oil is recycled by filta-fry to be used for bio-diesel fuel.

Recycled Content Paper

We use 100% recycled content office and copy paper in all dining locations on campus.

Green Cleaning

All dining locations are committed to using Eco Sure daily green cleaning products in our operations to reduce the need for chemical based cleaning products and provide a healthy and safe learning environment.
